One average for every squad
Enter it once
Add the bowler's average when they sign up or when you add the team. Mark No Average when they do not have one. That same average follows them across every squad they bowl.
Use a catalog when you have one
Assign an average catalog on Setup and set the minimum games. Upload league sheets to that catalog. The average that counts is the highest with at least that many games. On Create Team, a unique catalog match can fill a blank average. Otherwise choose Use catalog average. On Averages, Review walks bowlers who need a look. A catalog fill is not verified until you verify it.
Keep everyone on the same number
When a bowler asks what average they are using, there is one answer. Handicap is a percent of the pins under the base, per game, from that verified average. It is zero when the average is at or above the base, and an optional maximum can cap the pins. Scratch tournaments score pinfall. Scoring, the recap, and standings use the same number.
